Free Pro, the B2B entity of the iliad Group, provides IT, telecom, cloud, and cybersecurity services to private companies and public institutions. From presales activities to contractual commitments and ongoing operations, documentation plays a critical role in every client relationship.
Responding to tenders, commercial proposals, contractual documents, security questionnaires, service follow-up reports — all documents that need to be precise, consistent, and tailored to each client's expectations.
To modernize this process, Free Pro partnered with cobl (formerly Thinkeo) to improve the quality, consistency, and reuse of their documentation, while giving teams a more controlled and structured way to manage knowledge internally.
The initiative is led by Albéric Mulliez – Director of Solutions and Services, who saw in cobl an opportunity to bring structure, traceability, and intelligence to Free Pro’s documentation workflows.

In their daily work, Free Pro’s teams produce large volumes of documents at different stages of the customer lifecycle.
“We need documentation throughout every exchange with a client,” explains Albéric. “In presales, for commercial proposals and company presentations. During subscription, for contracts and SLAs. And in run mode, for service-quality reports and operational follow-up.”
This documentation must be accurate, customized, and aligned with each client’s specific needs.
However, commercial proposals and RFP Response often lacked personalization. Not because of a lack of expertise, but because of repetitive work, fragmented knowledge sources, and time constraints.
“Our proposals weren’t personalized enough,” Albéric says. “We were replying quickly, but not always with the level of relevance we wanted.”
Existing content was scattered across teams, individual Word files, or personal libraries, making it difficult to maintain a single source of truth.

What stood out for Free Pro during initial discussions was cobl’s ability to generate structured documents through an intuitive web interface, and eventually open the platform to the entire organization. Rather than starting from existing Word files, Free Pro wanted a system where teams could generate documents using centralized, validated content, ensure every output reflects the company’s real expertise, stop duplicating outdated materials, and maintain consistency across departments.

After several months of usage, multiple teams at Free Pro, including security, CSR, presales and legal have already adopted cobl’s applications.
“There’s interest from across the company,” says Albéric. “The tool answers needs in many services and roles.”
One of the most-used apps today is their questionnaire application, used weekly by CSR and security teams.
Beyond time savings, the biggest impact is on knowledge control and reuse:
“The real benefit is that nothing is lost,” Albéric explains. “If we’ve done high-quality, tailor-made work once, it enriches our knowledge base. Tomorrow, we can reuse it, always with human validation.”

The next phase of the collaboration focuses on structuring and centralizing knowledge so each department can manage its own content, ensuring consistency while making past work reusable.
By turning documented expertise into a shared, maintainable knowledge base, Free Pro sees cobl as a long-term partner in transforming how documentation is produced, maintained, and leveraged across the company.
