Fathom

Cobl connects to Fathom so call summaries and transcripts become the next documents in the deal: follow-up, proposal, RFP response.

What is Fathom?

Fathom is an AI notetaker. It joins calls on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, records and transcribes them, and writes a summary with action items shortly after the meeting ends. Sales teams use it so the person running a discovery call can listen instead of taking notes.

Fathom's summary is written for someone who was on the call. The documents that follow are written for people who were not: the buyer's manager, procurement, the committee reviewing the proposal. The detail they need sits in the transcript, and it rarely makes the trip into the document.

Turn Fathom summaries and transcripts into the documents the rest of the buyer's team reads

Cobl reads the Fathom meetings you connect to a deal, with their transcripts and summaries, and carries them as context inside the deal workspace. The follow-up, the sales proposal, the technical memo and any later RFP response draw on what the buyer described, in the buyer's words.

The summary gives the agents the structure of the call. The transcript gives them the detail: the figure the buyer quoted, the tool they are replacing, the constraint they mentioned once and did not repeat.

What Fathom and Cobl look like on a live deal

An account executive runs a discovery call on Zoom with Fathom recording. The summary arrives minutes after the call ends. The account executive connects the meeting to a Cobl deal workspace and drafts the follow-up that afternoon, leading on the problem the buyer led on. The next week a solutions engineer runs the technical demo, also recorded in Fathom, and that meeting joins the same deal.

When the buyer asks for a written proposal, both calls inform it. The solutions engineer's detail on integration reaches the proposal even though the account executive writes it. Nobody rewatches a recording to find the three minutes that mattered, and nothing is sent without review.

Key features of the Cobl Fathom integration

Transcripts and summaries as source material

Cobl reads both for each meeting you connect to a deal. The summary carries the shape of the conversation and the transcript carries the specifics. A proposal needs both to be credible: the structure to decide what to argue, and the detail to show the buyer they were heard.

Calls run by different people, one deal

Discovery, demo and pricing calls recorded by different people on the team can be connected to the same deal. The person writing the document sees what was said in calls they did not attend, so a point raised in the first meeting still shapes a document written after the fourth.

Same-day follow-up

The draft can be built while the conversation is still current, which is when a follow-up counts most. The gap between a good call and the written follow-up is mostly drafting time. Starting from the transcript instead of a blank page is what closes it.

One connection across meeting platforms

Fathom records on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. One connection covers a team that uses all three, without connecting each platform separately, and the context reaching the document is the same whichever platform the buyer chose.

Frequently asked questions

Does Cobl integrate with Fathom?

Yes. Cobl connects to Fathom so meeting transcripts and summaries can be used as context for follow-ups, proposals and RFP responses. The meetings you connect to a deal become source material for every document in that workspace.

What Fathom data does Cobl access?

The meetings you connect to a deal, with their transcripts and summaries. Cobl works from the text, not the video recording, and only from the meetings you attach rather than your whole call history.

Does Cobl replace Fathom's summaries or CRM sync?

No. Fathom captures and summarizes the call, and can log it to your CRM. Cobl uses that record to write what comes next: the follow-up, the proposal, the response. The summary stays useful as a record, and the documents are what move the deal.

Can Cobl use calls a colleague recorded?

Yes, when those meetings are connected to the deal and the connected account can access them. That is how detail from a presales demo reaches a proposal written by someone else on the team.

Can I combine Fathom with our CRM?

Yes. Call context works alongside CRM records from HubSpot or Salesforce, so a document reflects both the conversation and the deal record. More on data handling sits on the security page.
