What is PandaDoc?

PandaDoc is where sales teams send proposals, quotes and contracts, then track them and get them signed. A rep picks a template, sets the pricing table and sends the document. Then they watch it: who opened it, how long they spent on it, when the signature came in. For many teams it is the last step of the deal, and the most visible one.

PandaDoc is built for that last step. The work that decides whether the buyer signs happens earlier: the RFP response, the deck for the steering committee, the technical memo, the argument inside the proposal itself. That content usually gets written somewhere else, often by editing the last document that looked similar. It reaches PandaDoc only at the end.

PandaDoc gets the signature, Cobl builds the documents that get you there

Cobl is a deal workspace. Its agents write every document the deal needs from the CRM record, call transcripts, email threads and the approved material in the Shared Drive. That covers the sales proposal, RFP response, sales deck, technical memo and business case, each one written to move this deal forward. When a document is ready for signature, Cobl creates it in PandaDoc from your template. PandaDoc then handles sending, tracking and e-signature the way your team set it up.

Cobl also reads the documents in your PandaDoc workspace and their status. Signed proposals from similar deals feed the next one, and the workspace knows which documents are drafts, which are sent and which are completed.

What PandaDoc and Cobl look like on a live deal

A prospect sends an RFP after two discovery calls. The bid manager opens a deal workspace in Cobl, which reads the CRM record, the transcripts and the RFP pack. Cobl runs the bid evaluation and the go/no-go. It then drafts the questionnaire response, the technical memo and the sales deck, all from the same deal context. The bid manager fixes two answers in the inline editor and exports the deck to PowerPoint for the committee meeting.

The team makes the shortlist. Cobl writes the final proposal and creates it in PandaDoc from the team's proposal template. Pricing goes into the PandaDoc pricing table as finance approved it. The account executive sends it, and PandaDoc tracks the views and collects the signature. Nobody rebuilt the deal context between the first RFP answer and the signed contract.

Key features of the Cobl PandaDoc integration

Every document the deal needs, not only the one that gets signed

PandaDoc receives the document the buyer signs. Cobl covers the documents before it. A full RFP response runs as seven documents in one workspace: bid evaluation, go/no-go, offer analysis, questionnaire response, sales deck, sales proposal and technical memo. Business cases, security questionnaires and follow-up one-pagers sit on the same deal, so the context carries all the way to the contract.

A Shared Drive that keeps itself current

Case studies, pricing, boilerplate and positioning go into the Shared Drive once, and the agents pull from them whenever they are relevant. The agents also file new documents into the drive as the team works, so nobody maintains it by hand. Personal Drive picks up how each person writes and updates itself in the background. Past material in Google Drive feeds the same workspace, along with CRM context from HubSpot or Pipedrive.

Your template, your format

If you have a template in mind, give it to Cobl. Hand over any document whose look you want, and Cobl turns it into a reusable design system: fonts, colors, layout. That works for your own house style and for a client format an RFP imposes. Save the full setup as a Use Case, and the next document of that type starts configured. Documents export as editable Word and PowerPoint files.

PandaDoc stays in charge of sending, tracking and signing

Cobl creates the PandaDoc document from the template you choose, with the written sections in place. Pricing tables, branding, variables, recipients and the signing flow stay as your team configured them. Cobl reads each document's status, so the workspace knows what is still a draft, what went out and what came back signed.

Frequently asked questions

Does Cobl integrate with PandaDoc?

Yes. Cobl connects to PandaDoc so documents written in a deal workspace can be created as PandaDoc documents from your templates, then sent, tracked and signed in PandaDoc. Cobl also reads your existing PandaDoc documents and their status, so signed proposals from past deals can inform new ones.

What PandaDoc data does Cobl access?

Cobl accesses documents and templates in the PandaDoc workspace you connect, with their status and recipients. It can create documents from your templates. Cobl produces a draft, and you can edit it in Cobl and again in PandaDoc. Nothing goes to a buyer until someone on your team approves it. More on data handling is on the security page.

Does Cobl replace PandaDoc?

No. PandaDoc handles templates, pricing tables, sending, view tracking and e-signature. Cobl writes what goes into the documents and produces the ones around them, from the RFP response to the committee deck. The two cover different stages of the same deal.

Can Cobl use our own proposal template?

Yes, in two ways. Upload a template or any past document, and Cobl turns its look into a reusable design system for documents written in Cobl. For the document the buyer signs, Cobl creates it from the templates already in your PandaDoc workspace, so your pricing table and branding stay intact.

We answer full RFPs, not only proposals. Does that still work with PandaDoc?

Yes. A full RFP response needs more than a proposal: bid evaluation, go/no-go, questionnaire response, technical memo and deck. Cobl runs those in the workspace, in the buyer's format when the RFP requires one. The proposal or contract that needs a signature can still go out through PandaDoc.
