What's inside

Nine sections that stop the argument in month four

Everything a delivery lead and a client sponsor have to agree on before the kick-off.

1
Parties and term
Who signs, under which master agreement, from when to when. Two lines that save a legal review.
2
Background and objectives
Two paragraphs so anyone joining in month three knows why this work exists at all.
3
Scope of work
What is included, written as verbs and outputs rather than intentions.
4
Out of scope
The shortest section to write and the one that saves the engagement. Name what you are not doing.
5
Deliverables and acceptance
Each deliverable with its format, its due date, who signs it off and how many working days they have to do it.
6
Assumptions and dependencies
What you are counting on from the client: access, data, availability, decisions. Each one dated.
7
Governance
Who meets whom, how often, and who decides when the two sides disagree.
8
Change control
The route a new request takes: written, estimated, approved, then invoiced. Agreed while everyone is still friendly.
9
Fees and payment milestones
Amounts tied to accepted deliverables, plus expenses, the rate for change requests and payment terms.
How it works

From this template to client-ready

1
Start from the template

Click “Use this template”. You start from a real example, with its structure, its method and its design.

2
Add your context

Nothing to prepare. Cobl asks you the right questions and pulls your company knowledge: your CRM, your tools, your past work and your branding.

3
Get the best of both

Cobl assembles the two. The rigour of the template, with your content and your branding. So, what comes out is client-ready.

Why this template

Written for the day it goes wrong

A statement of work is not read at signature. It is read the first time expectations diverge.

Out of scope is a real section

Most SOWs describe what will be done and stay silent on the rest. That silence is where unpaid work lives.

Acceptance has a clock

A deliverable with no sign-off deadline is never signed off, and never invoiced. Every deliverable here has a name and a number of days against it.

It inherits from your proposal

Cobl reuses the scope, the team and the pricing already agreed in the proposal, so the two documents cannot contradict each other.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Can I change the sections?

Yes. Add, remove or reorder anything. A template is a starting structure, not a locked form. Cobl remembers what you changed and applies it to the next document of the same type.

What format do I get?

This one is built as an A4 document and exports to PDF, Word or Google Docs. A slides version of the same document is in the library too, if your buyers read decks rather than files.

Where does the content come from once Cobl takes over?

From your own material: your CRM, your past proposals, your website and the files you upload. Cobl assembles them into the structure of the template. Nothing about your company is invented.

How long does it take to adapt it to a real deal?

A first complete draft takes a couple of minutes. Teams report roughly 3h30 saved per proposal once their content library is connected.
