What's inside

The nine sections of a rollout that stays on track

Implementations slip on dependencies nobody wrote down. Each section names who does what, when, and what has to happen first.

1
Objectives and success criteria
What the rollout must achieve and how you will know it did: go-live date, adoption and outcomes agreed with the client.
2
Scope and phases
What is included, split into phases such as setup, migration, testing, training and go-live, each with an end date.
3
Roles and owners
A named owner for every workstream on both sides. Client tasks are written as clearly as your own.
4
Timeline and milestones
Dates for each phase and milestone, with the decisions or approvals each one is waiting for.
5
Dependencies
Access, data, integrations and decisions the plan depends on, with the date each one is needed. Missed dependencies are where plans slip.
6
Risks and mitigation
The main risks, their likelihood and impact, the early warning signs, and who acts if one of them happens.
7
Cutover and rollback
The go-live sequence, the checks before switching over, and how to roll back if something fails.
8
Training and handover
Who gets trained, how and when, and the date support moves from the project team to day-to-day support.
9
Communication and reporting
Status meetings, weekly reports and the escalation path on both sides when a milestone is at risk of slipping.
How it works

From this template to client-ready

2
Add your context

Nothing to prepare. Cobl asks you the right questions and pulls your company knowledge: your CRM, your tools, your past work and your branding.

3
Get the best of both

Cobl assembles the two. The rigour of the template, with your content and your branding. So, what comes out is client-ready.

Why this template

Both sides of the plan in one document

Many implementation templates track only the vendor's tasks. Go-live usually depends just as much on what the client has to deliver.

Client tasks have dates too

Data exports, access and sign-offs from the client are scheduled like any other task, each with an owner and a deadline.

Cutover is planned, not improvised

The go-live sequence and a rollback plan are written before the day, so the switch follows a checklist rather than a meeting.

Ready to send with the proposal

A clear plan answers the buyer's question about what happens after signing, and gives your champion something concrete to share.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Is the implementation plan template free?

Yes. Download it as it is, in Word or PDF, without an account. You only create one when you want Cobl to rewrite it with your own scope and your branding.

What should an implementation plan include?

Objectives and success criteria, the scope split into phases, a named owner for each workstream on both sides, dated milestones, the dependencies each milestone waits for, risks with mitigations, a cutover and rollback plan, training and handover, and how progress is reported. Client-side tasks need dates as much as vendor tasks do.

Can I change the sections?

Yes. Add, remove or reorder anything. A template is a starting structure, not a locked form. Cobl remembers what you changed and applies it to the next document of the same type.

Where does the content come from once Cobl takes over?

From your own material: your CRM, your past proposals, your website and the files you upload. Cobl assembles them into the structure of the template. Nothing about your company is invented.
